I would like to create an expert advisor with MA cross (of 5 periods and 10 periods) and Demand Index (of 5 periods).
For example:
Buy if Cross (Mov(C,5,E), Mov(C,10,E)) AND DI with 5 periods greater than 0.
Sell if Cross (Mov(C,10,E),Mov(C,5,E)) AND DI with 5 periods smaller than 0.
In Metastock, the Demand Index does NOT allow you to select the periods. How do I get around this problem?

Are all the Metastock "experts" on vacation? I am still waiting for the reply.
Jose, you'll be able to write many "outrageous" indicators. To modify the Demand Index with select periods should be a piece of cake for you??

Demand index is a mix beetween ADX and ATR(14) and tons of others things ... Too complex to recreate as a ms formula as far as I can tell. I unfortunately do not have the time to rewrite into a dll function with an input period ...
You should add this to the dll wish list and wait till I get to it or hire someone to do it for you.
