When I try opening the metastock program I got the Equis Data server running and will display (Connecting to data vendor. Please wait...) However, it stays forever! Although I am connected to the internet!
Can any 1 suggest?

hey z.... you didn't mention which version but it appears your using meta pro 9.1 for quotecenter....
some thoughts here, 9.1 for qc is particular its need for speed.... what is your internet connection speed.... it needs to be greater than 40k..... dsl is suggested by equis....
do you have quotecenter and if so is it running prior to trying to open meta....
does it give you an alert message after the long wait.... if so what does it say.... holler back....h
oh, and another thought..... g has discovered that possibly some setting on norten av might impact connection.... he also worked out a solution, it should be posted here on the forum.... h

I have a DSL connection and I am using Meta Pro 9.1
I dont have qoute center yet. And after a long time it gave me a timeout! I am realy confused now. I can't get the application running aftefr paying all this amount. :(

hey zsilence I have the same problem as you talk about, make sure that your firewall accept esignal data manager, Metastock manager, and all component relative to metastock :D
