here's a neat program, google earth....
its about a 11 meg download... even though it says broadband , i ran it on speeds as low as 53k ok, expect some lag of course.... just type in a location, say salt lake city, and click g.... this is a beta version so expect some glitches.... after clicking g you might have to back out some... try the tilt and rotate buttons... h

You can also skip the prog download and go directly to Google Maps.
http://maps.google.com
For some strange reason, Google Maps have a high definition (0.7m) satellite map of the island where I stayed for the last three months, Koh Pha-Ngan: Latitude 9° 40' North, Longitude: 100° 0' East.
Here's some satellite map directions on how to get there (2.4Mb animated gif):

hey jose... thanks... that was a neat way you handled the directions...
seem to recall a pay for version of google earth... it most likely contains the higher def images....
microsoft's terraserver has clear high def images.... you'll be able to see the smallest of buildings....
those images will be a couple years out of date also......h
