when i want to install metastock 8 this message is appeared : " setup has
detected
an outdated system file. setup must update this file in order to install
metastock
correctly . in order to replace the file your system must restart click yes
to replace the file and restart , no to exit set up ? please help me about
this problem.

Personally, I don't think anything too bad will happen if you let MS update the system file....
BUT
If you are concerned. If you are using Windows 98 or later, create a restore point BEFORE installing MS, then let MS install the files it needs.
If the installation corrupts your OS then just retore from the previously created restore point.
