just tried to apply a template and got the dreaded custom indicator error ..... [color=red:3673faf5e0]''attempt to execute a custom indicator that doesn't exist…. custom indicator number 32,293''[/color]..... well maybe the number wasn't that big but still its far easier to loose an indicator than is to remember it..... that’s where a few steps from an earlier date can save many today..... when you save a template or layout, meta's default folder is 'charts' in meta itself..... what follows here can be done in that meta 'charts' folder just as easily but saving them in a folder outside of meta has its advantages.... after the saving is done, right click on the icon and use properties>summary to place the indicator formulas used in the template in the comments section..... if your summary doesn't look like mine, click the word 'simple' above apply..... be sure to put as much info in the summary as possible..... if it’s a formula of patrick's, jose's, roy larson's, henry's , on and on, be sure to put in the web link to their site...... include the authors thoughts if any were given..... don’t let those small boxes mislead you..... you could cut and paste this entire post in the title box..... later just highlight a few words, then right click 'select all', right click again 'copy', just paste that in ms word or note pad and you could read the whole thing... if there comes a time that the indicator gremlin strikes, just right click on the appropriate template icon.... the indicators used will be ready and waiting..... h
