I'd like to find some information about the quality of all the many TA indicators that are generally available today - everything from A for averages to Z for zigzag and - all things in between like RSI and MACD.
So is there a test portfolio with a pool of, say, 300 stocks ( 100 bullish, 100 bearish and 100 ranging sideways/random)? Thus by applying some global parameters across the test portfolio, one could get some performance stats about how each indicator performed in the three scenarios of bull, bear and ranging market, and how it performed overall.
The purpose is to rank indicators based on generalised data not optimised for each stock.
Does anyone have any stats, please?

... And I'd like to see a similar ranking report on the quality of house building tools.
I mean, what would be the best tool for building a house - hammer, saw, axe, leveler, pipe clamp, cement mixer, etc...?
Seriously, use the right trading tools for the right job. First create and understand your own trading strategy, and then apply the tools suitable for your own use. Doing it the other way around, is akin to finding the proverbial needle in a haystack.
