It depends ... What type of internet connection and what type of hard drive do you have? No let's skip the PC side of things. I'm just going to assume you have a monster machine :D Well my bet is that you created these folders a long time ago and that they are full of invalid symbols. Why would it matter? Everytime you request data for an invalid symbol on our server, the server will just send an invalid symbol notification back the software, the the software will try to download that same symbol again, and the server will send an invalid symbol notification again ... it will do this loop about 10 times per invald symbols :D Now if you are courageous, delete all the folders, update your symbol database and recreate them ... This way you will ensure that you have all the new symbols and that you got rid of the old invalid ones ... If you are affraid to loose something and do not want to follow my courageous steps. I would go through the horrendous half our update but at the end when you get the collection report, click on filter and select errors only. In the report highlight all the securities with errors ( select the first one and press CTRL+A) then right click on the selection and select "delete securities", the next day when you update your data, let me know if it is faster ;) Hope this helps :D Patrick :mrgreen:
