I found this in the Purebytes archives relating to Omega software. Can this be accomplished in Metastock? Thanks, Charley "Thanks to Rob for clueing me on the secret of how to plot into future days. In case anybody else would be interested, here is pseudo code: if LastBarOnChart then begin calculate stuff plot1[-something]( stuff, stuff, "labels" ); end; For example, here is Rob's sample code: Plot1[-10](Close) this will plot today's close 10 days into the future. Same subscript thing works with paintbar. -- Arthur Cronos."

Unfortunately MetaStock cannot plot any formulae beyond the right edge of the chart, or into any null (N/A) zone for that matter. However, there are a couple of tricks which may allow this extension of future plots without violating the null zone rule. One is to plot a synthetic chart with future values as the main plot, which would then allow future plots. Another way would be to forward-shift values (i.e. backwards on charts), and then extend the last known value or direction - I will post an indicator example of this concept when I return back to my office in early Sept. jose '-) http://metastocktools.com/#metastock .

Thanks Jose, I did not think it could be accomplished in Metastock, but you never know. The other day I posted a formula I use in Excel to create forward data. This works very well and allows analysis forward of the current day. I was just hoping to keep all the computations in Metastock. Thanks again for all your posts, Charley
