okay, finally figured out the how to get around the 9.0 and 9.1 chart conflict..... basically its a smart chart conflict not the data base.... let me explain..... using the s&p 500 folder as an example..... we download using 9.1 and over the course of weeks we open quite a few charts using 9.1 from that folder.... each time a smart chart is created.... meta is geared to re-open smart charts first... its only those that are a problem.... in the s&p folder will be another folder called 'MSSmart'.... that folder holds your 9.1 smart charts for the s&p.... if we delete those charts, 9.0 will open all s&p 500.... just the charts in the 'MSSmart' nothing else.... were is this going..... if like me you have entirely to much in 9.0 to rebuild in 9.1 , it would be nice to be able to use both.... but constant deleting smart charts is not the answer, not only are they valuable, it would be a pain..... the solution is to download as normal for 9.1 and then download to a separate folders just for 9.0 use..... just don't mix and 9.0 will work as before, explorations, charts and all..... h
