hey 99.... that would really depend on how you are planining to install on the laptop and also what, if any, plugins you've added to your desktop.... the best way is to use your cd to install meta itself.... then export in from your desktop all indicators, experts, system tests and explorations..... meta will say some are already in, be sure to 'overwrite' ..... thats so any changes you've made to the stock versions will follow to your laptop.... make a copy of your desktops folder, 'metastock data' and copy it in your laptop..... also any plugins or dll's like patricks need to be copied and pasted in to your laptop's folder for externall dll's..... copy your desktops 'charts' folder .... thats the layouts/templates.... be sure to crank it up and run before you leave......just in case there is something left out.... sounds like your making sure, that a wise policy.... few would believe it but i have stripped that entire pro 9 cd down to 5.64 megs, or 6.1 megs for the pro 9.1, and it runs fine..... my point is , much of whats there is not absolutely neccessary.... untill you need it most..... holler back if i was unclear on anything.....h
