Has anyone experience in converting Metastock Formulas into Excel formulas? For eg I am trying to convert the Linear Regression Indicator. linearreg (DATA ARRAY, PERIODS). I am using the FORECAST function in Excel but I am not able to calibrate it correctly. My formula is: UltValue:= LinearReg(Ref(ValueWhen(1,CorrValue<=1,(x+y+z)/3),-xft),Fib2*Fib3); Where CorrValue, x,y,z, Fib2, Fib3 are known parameters. thank you

Hey Glyn- The basic statistical functions are already setup in Excel if you enable to Analysis Toolpack. TOOLS | ADD-INS | ANALYSIS TOOLPACK. Then, goto tools and data analysis. Regression is on the menu. It is crude, but effective. I've used it a long time to perform regressions at work (not on price data). Also, there are a million hits on google if you search for 'excel AND statistics'. Maybe this will give you a starting point. :D
