Reuters DataLink had a folder under common stocks that used to list all of the optionable stocks. After upgrading EOD to 9.1 from 9.0 (& downloading new symbols database as well) it seems to be empty. Is there something I'm missing here, or did they eliminate the listing of optionable stocks? I used to copy the list of stocks to my local data to run explorations.

In my opinion this is a bug but I will have to check on Monday.
I will try to post a solution for this then.

There was a new symbol update, have you tried to open metastock then click on tools, update symboldatabase?

I've done that several times, as well as going to the symbol files section on the web & downloaded/executed the latest Symbol90quote.exe without success. I still have an empty folder where the optionable stocks used to be. What gives?

hey erics.... was wondering here, you mentioned reuters data link had the folder but then mentioned downloading the Symbol90quote.exe , quote.com version, instead of the reuters version, Symbol90.exe ...... reckon that could be the problem.....h

sorry my typo had actually used the Symbol90.exe. Does everyone else still have that folder populated with the stocks, when they pull up Reuter's DataLink?
What I resorted to was going to the CBOE website & downloaded their listings to excel & then converted them to a local file, so I could scan optionable stocks.
