Hi Patrick, I have a suggestion on formula training. Would it be better to use formula examples and breakdown each segment for better understanding. For example, line by line explanation on Roy's Latches for learning. As a beginner, I am overwhelmed by one whole page of formula. If we can learn the subroutine such as latches or etc. Then understanding of the big program will come naturally. Just a thought. Regards, Edwin

Hi Edwin- Agreed. Small bites are easier to digest. :D Have you look at the traing sessions already recorded? They are great for beginners. Patrick breaks it down quite nicely!

Edwin, if you or any member has a question about a formula , jusk ask! How it is implemented, how it was derived, or suggestions on how it could be improved! If you use it in a system test, tell us your results.

Hi, I really think we need more and more training especially after playing metastock for awhile. The more you learn the more you realise you need more training. I've found some website for metastock video training from someone else as below: http://www.traderji.com/...ive/index.php/t-926.html If you have found some others, pls SHARE with everybody!!! Regards, Toyogo

Hey Patrick- What about some instructions on building an Expert Advisor? The scope of the topic is huge, but if you could do a little bit to cover the main features that would be great. Thanks! :D

g_, You are very correct about the expert advisor. There is no doubt in my mind that it is the most underutilized parts of the program. I would love to see more in this area. Preston BTW: You guys are doing a fantastic job here!

Thanks Preston for the compliment we really appreciate it ... I just posted a training for the expert advisor and the explorer, let me know if you have any comments. By the way I just want to make sure you know that you can copy any training you want from this forum to your group ;) Patrick

Hey Toyogo- You can view it with a Portuguese translator... try babel fish at: http://world.altavista.com/he result that comes up. This will convert the entire site. It's not perfect, but usable. :D This might not work, but just maybe... Quick link.

I was hoping sometime an advanced lesson on the System Tester would come out, especially with multiple latches. I viewed your lesson on latches and am able to code one even without your dll with no problem. When I have several signals I am looking for to occur for buy and others for the sell, I still end up with either buys/sells the same day or a single buy and no other activity even though when I put the exact same indicators on the chart and the data is flagged. I have tried using AND OR in the tester with latches and it fails with the same results. I can get simple things to work in system tester with no problem, so a basic tut on how to launch it is not needed. Unfortunately I currently have to run explorations with specific dates to find results for that time frame, export the data, and run it through a VB app I wrote just to tell me how it would have did. I know this is exactly what the Enhanced System Tester is for, but so far – no love
