Keeping the current template on subsequent charts [RESOLVED]

When I apply a template, or set a template as the default, then type in a new security or press the "next security" arrow...my current template is not always on the next chart. As a QCharts user, I am used to setting up my indicators, then any symbol I type has the same layout until I change it. Is there a way to do this in Metastock?

hey bill.... it sounds something like the 'use chart as template' option is not checked in the choose a security box on the extreme lower right of meta... might want to see which option you have chosen.... the 'use smart charts' option is selected by default....h
