I know this has been discussed already, but I can't find it, could someone post the link or any ideas?
I would like to create an indicator out of a custom data series and use it for comparison and correlation analysis with the stock I'm analyzing. For example, I would like to compare the price of cocoa with the price of MSFT to see how closely they correlate. I would like to create a system similar to pairs-trading and/or spread-betting but I need to find ways to explore, filter, correlate and test data in Metastock.

hey 94.... just happened to post something eariler on that subject..... price comparisons/correlations are an easy matter...... just drag and drop cocoa's price bars onto msft price bars.... it seems to help me to having them different colors..... most, if not all, indicators will move to other charts..... h

Thanks Hayseed. I knew I saw it on one of your posts, but couldn't remember which. Your posts are a tremendous help!
