Hello,
I am new to this whole metastock forum thing. I am looking to talk with serious short term traders to bounce ideas, templates and strategies around. What i mean by short term trading is anywhere from 2 to 5 days. I currently trade now, and have read many books on trading, especially on technical analysis, but as we all know, you can never know enough about trading. I can be reached by email at kurtr@comcast.net and i talk on AIM a lot after 6 pm Eastern Standard Time, my screename is "Radok". I would love to hear from anybody who is serious about trading short term trends. Take care all and Good Luck.
Kurt

Hi Kurt-
I'm new to MetaStock too. I have been trading stocks for a while and am thinking about futures at some point. Most of my trades are for about a month. Some have been less, some more. I have found that MetaStock is great for screening stocks. Especially with the power of creating your own custom explorations. I would strongly recommend Patrick's new training videos available here on the forums. They seem to be about perfect for my needs and he is open for suggestions for new topics to cover.
Anyway, welcome. Give me a holler if you want to chat.

Hello every one!
I'm also new to this forum, and this comunity, 22 years old, with 1.5 year of exp. in investing (Croatian stock exchange market).
For now, i haven't trade and invest my money outside the Croatia, but soon, the day will come.
:D
Also, i'm reading Steve Nison's Candestick charting techniques (thx to DayTrader), and i have rotated my mind from fundamental analysis to technical, also balancing between them; technical analysis-which i found much more objective for short term traders etc.
Think when i get started outside, i'll take MetaStock 9.0 EOD...
That's all from me!
If have any questions, just shoot!

Hi MonkZg!
Hope to hear more about your trading as it happens. I'm new to MetaStock, too, as you can probably tell from all of my simple little posts. The good thing is that there are some gurus here that put forth a great effort to teach the stuff they know. I'm just blown away. Right now, I'm just soaking it all in and trying to retain the gems that will make me a better trader. I think MetaStock is the vehicle for that success.

Hi!
Well, that's my opinion too.
I think the next year will "launch" me into US market.
So, hope i would be prepared for using MetaStock... 8)
Also, think that this is the nice place for sharing knowledge and experience.

Hello,
My first time posting to the forum. I´ve been trying to introduce a system test and exploration code for Metastock from a recent article of interest I found in the May 2005 issue of Stocks and Commodities magazine. Specifically Markos Katsanos´s code for detecting Breakouts from Flags and Pennants. Can anyone tell me if Metastock provides file downloads for these articles? I´m completely in the dark with Metastock language code and keep getting error/correction expected messages when I copy code to System builder. Appreciate any suggestions, thanks
