Any of the Smart Charts, charts or layouts that you have opened and saved in version 9 will not be usable in version 8. Favorites will also be lost as you are going to an older version. Finish the Export. Now you will go to your Control Panel and uninstall MetaStock Right click on your Start button Click on Explore Go to C:\\Program Files\\Equis Delete the Equis folder. Locate your data folders and delete the MSSmart folder from each folder. Do not forget the MSSmart in C:\\MetaStock Data\\Data on Demand Search for EQNOTIFY.DLL and delete it Now go to your Start menu and click on Run Type regedit in the Run dialog Click on the + next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER Click on the + next to Software Locate the Equis folder and delete it Restart your computer Reinstall the older version.
