some believe that certain issues will lead the move up or down.... that kinda makes sense.... applying the leading issue moving average to the lagging issue might be of value........ pull up a chart of 'csco', 'intc' and 'amd', apply a moving average to each...... now just drag and drop the 'intc' ma onto 'csco' chart.... drag 'amd's ma over there also if you want..... note, if you close the 'intc' chart its ma will be removed from the 'csco' chart..... that repetitive task can be avoided however by doing it once and creating a layout of it.... pull the 'csco' to the front leaving the 'amd' and 'intc' unseen behind but their ma's will always be seen on the 'csco' chart..... it helps using a different color for each..... spy with dia, oex, ibm ma's and lifting the spy chart up exposes the others hiding underneath....... of course there is no need to limit that to only moving averages......h
