Let's recap the problem first :
You have metastock 9.0 or below and have installed MS FrameWork 1.1 SP1 ( Service pack 1).
Now you can not connect to the chat / MetaStock Community ...
If this does not sound like your current problem with the chat, do not follow these instructions.
Download and extract the following zip file in your Metastock folder
Usually C:\\Program Files\\equis\\MetaStock
Then click on Start, Run and type the following :
"C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\Regasm" /codebase "C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\metastock.community.dll"
This is all one command, copy and paste the whole thing ( even the quotation marks ) ...
Now if your Metastock folder is not in c:\\program Files\\equis adjust the command line to reflect the new location.
I hope this helps.
Patrick
PS : One more thing ... You must be registered to see and download the files.

The old files should have been overwritten when you copied the new one ... :-k
Anyways glad to hear it works now.

One of the files was marked read-only which is probably why renaming was necessary (couldn't be overwritten). Filename "Interop.MSFrameworkRawLib.dll"
