As an experiment you can take a number of ‘Exploration Formulas’ (Built in to Metastock & others, & other numerous Exploration Formulas from ‘Know-it-All Gurus’). Run them all across the latest data from e.g. ASX, copy/paste the results in to a spread sheet (Filtered by ‘Buy-Signal’) and see how many give a consensus on the stocks to buy. Across a dozen or more ‘Sure-Fire Explorations’ you’ll be lucky to get 2x or 3x stocks agreed on & usually never more than 3x. Kinda like putting all the stocks in a barrel and pulling out one at random. Anybody tried this, have any opinion and concur or disagree?
