I need to reference another instrument (it was easy in the older versions, e.g. c:\data\uk\vod) but apparently not with the new 'Price Repository'.

I can't find an example of this format either in the various searches here, or in Google.

Advice would be appreciated, thanks you.

Hello,

Can you provide a bit more detail regarding how you are attempting to reference a security? The new Price Repository (MSLocal format) is our newer data format, compared to our MSFL (Legacy) format.

Within MetaStock you simply add your local data folder to a Local Data List to see the security files there. You can also use the Security function within MetaStock to reference this local data.

If you mean referencing the data externally or programmatically, we do have a data API for the MSLocal format. You can contact our Sales team to get more information on this at https://www.metastock.com/company/contact.aspx

If you are using a 3rd party application to try and reference MSLocal files, the 3rd party application would have to support the MSLocal format (i.e. they would need to use our new MSLocal data API in their application). If they do not support the MSLocal format, but do support MetaStock's MSFL format, you can still create "Legacy" files for use in downloading data.
