Axis Grid Bands are new to MetaStock version 18. These will display bands across the X and/or Y-Axis between the major levels on your chart. There are many ways to change this setting. To add bands to a chart, follow the steps below:
MetaStock v18 --> Current - Open MetaStock.
- From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
- Open the desired chart.
- Type in the instrument using the Instrument(s) field at the top.
- Select instrument using Custom Online Data Lists or Public Online Data Lists.
- Select local data instrument using Local Data Lists.
- Open the Format menu
- Select X-Axis
- Select the Grid tab
- Click on Show grid bands
- Click OK
Or - Open MetaStock.
- From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
- Open the desired chart.
- Type in the instrument using the Instrument(s) field at the top.
- Select instrument using Custom Online Data Lists or Public Online Data Lists.
- Select local data instrument using Local Data Lists.
- Double click, or right-click and select X-Axis Properties, on the dates at the bottom of the chart
- Select the Grid tab
- Click on Show grid bands
- Click OK
