With the addition of new charts in MetaStock version 18, many new features are included. We now have the ability to adjust the margin at the top and bottom of an inner Window. In the past, we always left a 10% margin above and below the values in the chart. Now, this can be customized. To adjust this setting, follow the steps below:
MetaStock v18 --> Current - Open MetaStock.
- From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
- Open the desired chart.
- Type in the instrument using the Instrument(s) field at the top.
- Select instrument using Custom Online Data Lists or Public Online Data Lists.
- Select local data instrument using Local Data Lists.
- Click and hold the mouse button, near the bottom of the Y-Axis and drag up or down slightly, until the lowest price visible is where you want the margin set.
- Click and hold the mouse button, near the top of the Y-Axis and drag up or down slightly, until the highest price visible is where you want the margin set.
- If you wish this to be applied to all Smart Charts opened in the future, save this as the Default Template by right-clicking in an empty area of the chart and selecting Save as Default Template.
