Hi,

I am new to MetaStock. I am trying to understand if any of MetaStock data packages provides 5 layers of TRBC (Thomson Reuters Business Classification) breaksdown for US Stocks:

1. Economic Sector

2. Business Sector

3. Industry Group

4. Industry

5. Activity

Can anybody help, please?

Regards,

Evgeny

Hi,

The Instrument Lists are built-in to MetaStock (you will want to update these monthly) and are independent of the actual data packages.

MetaStock uses something of a hybrid system at present. The simplest explanation would be that we use the GICS general structure (10 sectors vs 11 they now have), followed by Industry Group and Industry. However, we use Thomson Reuters TRBC for populating the constituent stocks within each of these groupings.
