Hello,
Any way to create an indicator for a custom period?
Eg. I want the range from "X" period to "Y" period say 1st Aug 1995 to 15th August 1995? And that value to be added to the Close of a prior "Z" period say 31st July 1995.
Basically 3 parameters:
"X" which is the start date (want lets say the High of that date)
"Y" which is the end date (want lets say the Low of that date)
Range ie "X' - "Y"
The above range value to be added to "Z" eg the close of 31st July 1995.
With the above in place, I can tweak the dates for the backtesting that I have in mind albeit a bit manually yet.
Thanks.

Hi tradeinvest
I'm reasonably confident that what you want can be done. Unfortunately your description leaves me wondering just what it is that you want. Anyone coding your request will need the (rather vague) big picture as well as the details. Every statement that you make should be perfectly clear and leave no room for questions or doubt. I'll happily try and code your request, but not until you fully explain your project giving not only the overview but a full and proper description. You know what you want but I don't get it.
My date filter could easily be adapted to meet the needs of your X and Y variables if Start and Stop dates are what you're looking for. Beyond that I'm pretty much in the dark and I don't want to make guesses, even if they're quite close.
