is it possible to code this formula:
where OPEN INTEREST IS THIS : Security("GC_TOTAL.ALL",CLOSE) .... for gold per example

Not sure on your 'symbol' in the above example, but the Security Function can output Open Interest via the Data Array field (where you currently have CLOSE). The security function is a bit different between version 11 and later versions. For example:
Security("GCc1",OI)
This would perform an online query for the Continuous COMEX Gold contract, reporting the Open Interest via the "OI" reference.
