This would depend on the source of the data, but generally speaking you should be able to use the "Security" function to divide one into the other. This would display as an indicator in a chart, not as a base security in a chart. You can also use the DownLoader to create a Composite of 2 local security files (File->New->Composite). The primary and secondary security must be in the same local data folder, and the composite security will also reside in this same folder.

Thanks, I followed the DownLoader route

Used default Metastock EOD installation sample data

Folder: C:\MetaStock Data\Sample
Name: DJIG/GOLD
Primary: .DJI
Secondary: GCc1#1

How do I convert GCc1#1 to grams of gold cant add divide / 31103.4768 to Secondary

(Dow Jones Ind Symbol .DJI) / ((Gold Comx Continuous Symbol:@:GCc1#1) / 31103.4768) = in grams of gold

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do that via the Composite building. It is possible you could do the mathematical adjustment via Tools-->Adjust-->Data in The DownLoader to adjust the data that way. Our current real-time data feed (XENITH) does allow currency and unit conversions directly within a chart but this would otherwise have to be done manually.

Hi is it possible to do the following using Indicator Builder, and then display it in an inner window (Symbol 1 / Symbol 2) / 31103.4768 Example (Dow Jones Ind Symbol .DJI) / ((Gold Comx Continuous Symbol:@:GCc1#1) / 31103.4768)

FYI, that is probably the letter i on the end of the @:GCc1 symbol, which just means it is reporting specific contract volume/open interest vs. total outstanding contracts. Format should work as below. Security("C:\MetaStock Data\Sample\.DJI",C) / (Security("C:\MetaStock Data\Sample\@:GCc1#I",C) / 31103.4768)
