I'm using MS11 EOD and need to run a series of system tests over weekly data. I know the periodicity is changed in the bottom LH corner of the Add Securities Window. It seems to me though that every time new set of Securities are added I have to highlight the "weekly" tab in the periodicity box or else it defaults to daily data. I'd have thought that once having changed to "weekly" it would stay in that format until I change it back to "daily". Is there some way of locking the Add Securities window in weekly format so I don't have to change it every time I load another set of securities? The "current" tab doesn't seem to help. Nor can I find any reference to this in any of the manuals.

Are you testing with locally stored data or data on demand? I tested with Data on Demand and it does recall. With locally stored data I believe it will default to the Native/Current interval of the data.

Yes I do have locally stored data so I guess I''ll just have to live with the issue. Its not a big problem, more of an irritation, but thank you for your response.

Hi,
The only work-around I could see for this would be to set up a Local data folder with the Weekly periodicity instead of Daily. This may not be worth it, but figured I'd mention the possibility.

Hmmmm, I guess that would mean running separate data folders, I'd be a bit nervous about trying that but will certainly have a look at it. I'm off for a 2 week break tomorrow so won't attempt anything, probably until the new year. But thanks again for your help - much appreciated..
