Dear Metastock,
I just upgraded mny computer, and I cannot remembr how to do this steps.
When I open MetaStock each time I want the charts to open to my preference layout and steup of indicators, moving averages etc... I want to know how to create a template annd save it in the template section within Metastock.

Hi Frank,
Templates would be saved from an opened chart via File-->Save As and changing the File Type from Chart to Template. You would then give the template a name and click Save. I believe by default this should be pointing at the "Metastock" folder under your Documents (Libraries-->Documents-->MetaStock).
You can also right-click in a chart and choose "Save As Default Template" to make it the default for all new Smart Charts.
You can also enable the "Restore Workspace on Startup" checkbox under Tools-->Options if you want it to remember all the previous items you had left open in MetaStock when you re-open MetaStock. Edited by user Thursday, May 21, 2015 7:14:03 PM(UTC)

MetaStock Support,
All this I'm trying within MetaStock 14.
How can I change the volume bar to green for up and red for down, I want this to work just like all the other software out there also can I get the stock symbol included next to the name of the stock?
Also I want the template that gets created to be on the chart window pane on the bottom, just like

Hi Frank,

When you right-click on a chart you can go to Chart Window Properties, click the Title tab, and you either adjust the Center or Right portion of the title bar (the left is hard-coded to the company name).
You can add as many templates as you'd like to the custom toolbar (there is a visual limit based on the width of MetaStock). Simply right-click on the custom toolbar, choose "Custom Toolbar Properties", and you can then click the "New" button to walk through a short wizard allowing you to create buttons for different file types (such as templates, charts, layouts).
