Hello,

I have been using XENITH for quite some time. The problem I am facing is with the huge gaps present in the continuous futures charts. Hence making them almost useless to work with.

This is perhaps due to the stock split or bonus on that particular script.

Can someone please help me with a way do mend these gaps.

Thanks. :)

There would not be an easy way to manipulate the data and still have it update live. If you can list the symbol(s) being used we can see if there might be a better option such as an alternate continuous symbol. Also any specific dates would help determine the cause of any potential data issues. If there is an actual problem with the data it should be corrected vs. making you manipulate the data.

Thanks, for the reply. To give a few examples, we can look for symbols such as ICBKc1:NS, INFYc1:NS, BHELc1:NS. These scripts either went through split or announced bonus in their shares and thus the gaps come due to price revision. Surprisingly, the cash or spot charts do have the required adjustments to make up for the price correction caused due to bonus or split. The gaps thus make the previous data (before bonus or split) completely irrelevant and I wonder as to how can one apply and of the technical indicators (any kind of averages) on such a chart. Kindly advise me on this.

So I did get an update on this particular issue. It would appear that historical adjustments are in fact not made to the futures based on the underlying stock corporate actions. This is of course specifically in regards to Stock Futures. Here was the official response on this: "Upon checking with our data specialists, we have determined that we do not adjust the historical data whenever any corporate action happens for any security/stock. We only update reference facts such as lot size, strike price, tick value, etc. hence the price gap or spike will be visible on chart."
