Hello there,

i cannot find the properties of Fibanacci projection and retracement after i apply them to the chart, but i can do it for Fib arc and Fan. I am currently using MS 10.1 and i found that Fib projection and retracement only have range between 0% and 100% but i need to have 161.8% showing up.

thanks,

Probably the Scaling setting is set to Auto and the range does not include your 161.8%. Right-click on a Fib line and check Horizontal lines. The 161.8% line is probably in there - mine is in version 11 EOD. Extend the range and you'll probably see it.

thanks for the reply. May i know how you get your EOD data on your current version? subscribe the data from Datalink or any other data providers?

I use "Personal Stock Monitor Gold". It will update prices every 5 minutes. If, during the day, I wish to send data to MS, then Click on Export. You now have the option of sending today's data at any time during the day, or Historical data. The exported file is in MS format so all you have to do is run The Downloader - no extra steps. The cost 4 or 5 years ago was $49 - one time.

Another one I use is JStock - Free, non-profit outfit. It's advantage is that it will update data from 2 seconds, 5, 10, 20, etc. up to an hour and then can switch to Minutes, or hourly with same span, i.e., 2 minutes, 5 minutes, etc., or 2 hours, 5 hours, etc. The only drawback is the conversion. It will save in cvs format but you must get it in the correct MS format -I use a spreadsheet. But it is a hassle so while I use JStock during the day to check fast updates, I use PSM for conversions.

Both of the above provide free quotes - no subscriptions.

Finally, if you are trading fast & furious (I don't) then subscribe to "tradingview.com". Real time available, for a price but reasonable,. I got a 2 year deal for $179 which also includes extended market, prior to Opening Market and overnight quotes on Gold/Silver/ Dollar Index. Maybe more, but that's all I watch. This is real good in watching to see if a Stop is about to be hit.
