Referring to following link, there is an auto-Trend Channel, and I would like to know on how to determine the starting points for this trend.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I would always recommend users to fully understand the uses and functions of MS. The linear regression channels , Andrews Pitchfork and other channel and line drawing tools will give the result you are looking for.

Not really that useful, J. - those line studies are not formula-based and so they cannot be applied to any strategy. oem7110 wrote:How to determine the starting point of trend? Notwithstanding that you are trying to ask one of those typical Holy Grail questions, try this: LinReg Trendline v4 - Linear Regression Trendline with Standard Deviation/Error Channels/Bands, date-adjustable.
