I have developed a number of indicators and experts that I placed on a chart. Now every chart that I open has then added. How can I get rid of these indicators, experts etc showing and start with a clean chart or with default setups.

Sounds like you may be bringing up new charts in which case they will open with the 'default' template. Maybe make a clean chart and save it as the default?

When I do an Exploration, the report has securities with different indicators. i.e. not every filtered chart has the same indicators. How do I get rid of all the indicators on my charts (smart charts) and start afresh?

Bring up any Smart chart, then clear all indicators by using Edit command, or Click & delete everything but the price bars. Then Right-click within the chart and Click on "Save as Default Template". That should bring up newly opened charts cleanly. If not, I'm out of ideas.

Hi Guess both you and me are out of ideas. It should not be this hard. I did what you suggested which makes sense but when I brought up another chart, the same old indicators and experts were displayed, not the new Default that I just saved. I feel I want to search a folder to delete all files that may have been saved but with this new MS12 EOD version I just don't know where to look as the security files are streamed and not accessed from my folders. Frustration plus...

Typically should be under C:\Users\(Windows.Username)\App Data\Local homson Reuters\MetaStock\DataOnDemand Cache.
Within this folder you can delete the MSSMART folder (or individual contents) to clear your old smart charts. This will allow for a new default template for all symbols.

Thanks Henry1224, that works. My computer did not have the pathname you suggested but I did a search for MSSMART and found it that way. Happy again.
