MS 13 EOD
Crashing intermittently when opening charts in Explorer.
Charts are "painting" very slowly when opening.
Otherwise a great program so far...

Hmm. Could you please call our support line at 801-506-0999 and walk them step by step through what you are doing to get the crash. They can then right up a bug report.
Thanks you.

Had the same kind of problem: after a scan, when I tried to open one or more than one chart from the report, mswin was closed automatically!
The problem resolved itself, I don't know how......

If you are able to reproduce this, please call our support staff and provide the steps. Also reference this forum thread when you talk to them.
Thanks.

John,
I got the same problem. Have you found a solution.?
I'm running MS 13 on a MacbookPro with Bootcamp and Windows 7. It works pretty well until tonight. I uninstall and reinstall MS13 and also reinstall MS Framework.Net 4.5.1, but nothing seems to work. Every time I click on Open Chart in the exploration result report, I got a message saying MSWIN.EXE stopped working.
Any advices?
Thanks
David

I am not aware of this being a widespread issue. Perhaps it is just related to Bootcamp. I'll alert someone from our Support dept to respond to this. I am not up on Bootcamp.
As an FYI...we do not guarantee support for MetaStock on Bootcamp. Below is our blanket policy statement:
_________________
- Running MetaStock on a Mac (Apple)
Officially MetaStock is not supported when installed onto a Mac computer. However, we have many clients using MetaStock on the new Macs with the Intel processor and they have reported that they've encountered minimal issues. While we haven't tested MetaStock on Macs, our discussions with customers using it indicate that for the most stable Mac environment, the Windows operating system must be running through a Mac application called Boot Camp. Similar applications may not work properly (for example Parallels or Virtual Machine). MetaStock software installed on a Mac computer is eligible for the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. All conditions and requirements apply to Mac users regardless of the timing or nature of potential Mac related issues.
MetaStock will make every effort to provide support for running our software on a Mac and help customers troubleshoot issues they encounter; however as we have not officially tested MetaStock in this environment, we are unable to guarantee support beyond a reasonable effort.

There are a couple things you can try to resolve this issue. Do you tend to run scans on the same list? Is this a custom list (one you created) or one of the built-in lists? You may want to try one of the built-in lists to see if it behaves any differently if you are using custom lists.
We can also check to make sure the Default Template / Smart Chart may not be causing the issue. First, open the Power Console, type in a symbol and click Next. Click the Browse button and choose the CLEAN template and click Open chart. Once the chart is open, choose File-->Save as Smart Chart (note: this will overwrite the existing smart chart for this symbol).
Next, go back to the Power Console and click Manage Custom Lists. Click New and create an Online list. Type in this same symbol into your list and click Add then Save the list. Go into the Explorer, run the Equis - Performance, Daily exploration and choose this single-symbol list. Try and Open Chart from the Exploration Report. Do you still have the crash?

I have the same problem however, this problem seems related to saved custom lists. I can open charts from multiple exploration reports directly or from their saved lists but not from a saved list. You figure. Gabriel
