Not sure I have posted to the best area. I recently emailed Sylvain Vervoort as I noticed that there was no Metastock code on TASC related to his current series on Swing Trading. I was a bit surprised as Metastock was selling his book 'Capturing Profit with Technical Analysis' during the previous Metastock release roadshow.
Below is his response..
"The translation from NinjaTrader to MetaStock is normally done by MetaStock in the traders tip section in S&C. I noticed that MetaStock did not made the conversion. Some parts in the article series may be difficult to implement in MS using the standard MS programming language (however it can be done with a dll file). Maybe you should ask about it on the MetaStock forum. I did not write the formulas for implementation of IRSTS in MetaStock."
I am surprised as Metastock has always seemed to have a major presence in TASC and on their annual surveys. Does anyone know if this will be done or are there technical issues with the Metastock platform.

I've alerted our formula wizard (Will Golson) here at MetaStock. He writes these for TASC. So he'll probably be able to respond.

I haven't seen any feedback on this forum entry. Don`t know whether Will has looked into this. Did this item fall through the cracks or does Metastock software have difficulty in readily handling/implementing Sylvain's indicators?

The first article in this series was a modified zig zag. I examined this code and did not see a way to do it outside of a custom DLL. This is why a trader's tip was not submitted for June 2013.
The July issue used signals based on the modified Zig Zag. This dependency prevented a tip for the July issue.
As future articles come out, if the formula is possible without a custom DLL, it will be done.

There is a new version of Metastock available. Will this version still require custom dlls to handle as the previous versions did?

Yes. There were not changes in version 13.0 to the formula language.
