If you believe in that, most calendar based/cyclical functions can be programmed in the native MS formula language, more complicated functions require higher level programming languages accessible via the MDK.

Astrological indicators are not included in MS, but if you know the epoch datetime then any cyclical event can be programmed; lunar cycles, solar eclipses, planetary motion, etc.

I don't program those because there is no need to. There is a site http://www.astro-trade.com that show all planet and moon transit for the day, go take a look, I think it will he helpful to you.
