Metastock 10 Installation (Windows 7 within Parallels 8) Problem

I'm just trying to reinstall metastock 10 onto my mac in windows 7 within parallels 8.
When I try running the setup.exe file, nothing happens! I have tried copying the contents off the metastock CD onto the desktop, but still, nothing happens when I run the setup.exe (even as administrator). I have heard stories of turning off virus checkers etc, but I havent installed any on my virtual machine.
I can remember there was a workaround for this in installing MS on virtual machines- does anyone know what this workaround is/was?
Thanks for any help, Regards, Luke

I don't know much about this; however, I found this on our website that was written up by our support staff:
____________ Officially MetaStock is not supported when installed onto a Mac computer. However,
we have several clients using MetaStock on the new Macs with the Intel processor and
they have reported that they've encountered minimal issues. While we haven't tested
MetaStock on Macs, our discussions with customer using it indicate that for the most
stable Mac environment, the Windows operating system must be running through a Mac
application called Boot Camp. Similar applications may not work properly (for example
Parallels or Virtual Machine). MetaStock software installed on a Mac computer is
eligible for the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. All conditions and requirements apply
to Mac users regardless of the timing or nature of potential Mac related
issues.
MetaStock will make every effort to provide support for running our software on a Mac
and help customers troubleshoot issues they encounter; however as we have not
officially tested MetaStock in this environment, we are unable to guarantee support
beyond a reasonable effort.

I'm sure once the market justifies going IOS, we will. Our resources right now are better directed towards improving what we have. I think most on this forum would agree.

I'm not aware of any problems with that. But we don't officially support such a setup. However if you do have issues, our support folks can offer some guidance.
