I have been using various NASDAQ and NYSE volume and issue indices in MS11 (e.g. X.NYSE-A, X.NYSE-L, X.NASD-A) and can't find them in MS12 Power Console. I still have The Downloader running and it goes out and gets these data, but I can't find a way to use it or get access to in within MS12.

Bob, from what I have heard about the new MS12 upgrade, MS12 cannot read the old Reuters Datalink files. You will have to find the new symbols in the XENITH data feed!
I hope that you are happy with the upgrade!
But for my needs , I will stay with my current version.
I will give you this advice for the next time you upgrade ANY software! DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP.
Every software upgrade will make changes to your work files, you will then have to adapt to the new changes.

Bob,
I totally agree with Henry's post.
I upgraded also and I made a big mistake on the upgrade. I should have waited and done a fine tuned look into the upgrade materials.
I'm also going to use the MS 11 version.
Hopefully in the near future they will not change the EOD data and incorporate XENITH as the EOD data instead of Reuters datalink.

Frank - As long as you have MS 12 installed, have you noticed anything about performance?
ie: I'd expect Explorations to be far slower, the more so when more bars are loaded; ie: 10 years/2500 daily bars or more.

Jonathan,
Yes I agree with you comment the exploration is slower if you have more bars loaded.
there hasn't been any major change or upgrade on MS 12, other then the console.
I'm hoping they will not discontinue Reuters Datalink and merge it within XENITH.
I'm contemplating on returning MS 12.

Can you give an idea of how bad is "bad"?
ie: Run the S&P 500 for 3000 bars. Most of the Equis explorations take under 6 secs; some I run regularly take 15-20 minutes.

I run the entire NASDAQ, AMEX & NYSE stocks in my explorations and i have 8000 bars and sometimes it takes 15 minutes and at time less. Just fustrating. By now they should have a much faster scan with modern technology, also a more updated platform since we are up to Windows 8 now and MS is still at Windows 98 |

Assuming you're running the same Explorations -- How fast was MS11?

Slow, but not as slow as with MS 12.
I'm going to see and tonight and load MS 12 onto another PC and see how it goes. I will keep you updated.
What is you feedback on MS 12. |

None -- Am keeping an open mind, but, after reading what's on the various forums so far, don't intend to upgrade. It looks more & more like the product has been DOWNGRADED in several ways.
