I am a user of pre-historic MetaStock 7.0. My old computer recently died and I replaced with a new one, and re-loaded MetaStock.
I ran System Tester on old computer against a data file starting 01/2000 and got 72 trades starting 05/2004. When I ran the same system against the same data file on the new computer, I only got 26 trades starting in 5/2010.
Obviously, there is somewhere to set the data range to be tested, but it has been too long on my previous computer and I can't find it.
Can anyone help correct the problem??? John

Hey john
you can check all the system tester options for when you set up the systemn test, it should have a box that asks for periods
by the way, do you know what the code for the s and p 500 is? spfiv its called in my indices dialog says its not found...
