How can I get MetaStock to distribute my customerized indicators on
daily, 4-hour and hourly basis to Excel on real time for a number of
different instruments?
DAILY 4-HOUR HOURLY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
$$EURUSD.RTR
$$USDJPY.RTR
us&ES.1
us@CL.1
Do I need to buy MetaStock Developers' Kit to program by myself?
Many thanks.

Do you want someone to answer this question? Or, is it just a test post?
If it's a question, then I will move the post to a more appropriate section in the Forum.

Just about all of the limitations of MS can be overcome by writing libraries of functions in more powerful programming languages, so the MDK is a really useful resource IF you know how to program! The process you are inferring is to capture data and indicators information from open charts with the indicators applied, or capturing the data through the RT feed and computing the indicator at the predetermined intervals; and then output the results to an Excel readable file (which MUST be closed at the time of writing because of Excel file locking restrictions). An alternative method would be to use DDE to read the data in Excel and do the computations there, live. However, like in another thread ( http://forum.equis.com/forums/thread/37853.aspx

What I would like is to get a real time update table showing more than one instrument for any tailor-made indicator. At the moment, MetaStock only allows me to look at one instrument at a time.

There are many ways to view the data from more than one instrument, for example: You can have multiple charts open in a layout; or you can use explorations.

for multiple charts, there're physical limitation due to screen size. for explorations, it isn't updated on real time basis.

You can use Windows macros to run explorations according to a schedule.
