Example: Consider a price chart with certain indicators overlayed. Now add a straight line Linear Regession line. Now try to copy the Linear Regession Line and paste it. The pasted copy of the Linear Regression line does not lay on top of the original Linear Regression line put now sticks to one of the other indicators on the price chart and now represents the Linear Regression line of that indicator. This is an error.

This isn't an error, its an idiosyncrasy with MetaStock.
When you add indicators and drawing objects to a chart, they added like layers, so the most recent indicator added will be on top of an existing layers, often the base security is at the bottom of the pile.
If on your chart you have the base security, one fast moving average and one slow moving average (added to the chart in that order), then the linear regression trendline drawn on the price data, when you copy this to the clipboard and then paste it back onto the chart, it will "attach" to the slow moving average because that is the topmost layer.
At any time when you need the security price data at the front of the chart, on top of all other indicators, select the price data, then delete it, then select Display Base Security to show the price information as the top layer of the indicator "stack".
Hope this helps.

Thanks Wabbit for enlightening me as to how and why this works the way it does and for the work around. I know that on AMIbroker's technical analysis software it doesn't have this problem and adding indicators on top of indicators works as it should by continuing to indicates the price chart and not one of the other indicators overlayed on top of the price chart. I would be nice if MetaStock could do the same thing thus eliminating the need to having to use a work around approach.
