Do any of the components of the forecast oscillator use forward referencing? The results i'm getting from a forcact Osc trading system just seem to good to be true and I just can't find enough info anywhere on this. I've read that the time forecast oscillator is "plotted ahead" but am not sure what that means; however, the time forecast osc is part of the forc osc. many thanks for the help. PS. My system basically buys when the forecast osc reaches value x and sells when hits value y.

You need to be more specific -- which built-in indicator are you using?

If it's code, post it using

* code*
Put formula here.
* /code*

(Take out the spaces after the 1st asterisk), so it will look like this:

Code:

Put formula here.

OK, got it. Don't see anything in the description about using any of the lookahead "forbidden functions."

If you want a 2nd opinion, post the parameters and/or code. Be helpful to know what data set you're running on (S&P 100, Nasdaq 100, etc), periods and periodicity, etc.

Assume you're using the built-in System Tester, rather than add-ons like TradeSim, VST, Trade Equity, etc?

Thanks jjstein, appreciate the help. I've been doing my testing on the s&p 500 and I am also using tradesim enterprise which I think nobody should be without. Now I'm concerned with another part of my system which was brought to my attention. I wen't ahead and made a new post for that.
