hi I'm new to EOD. Is there any way to group a list of securities in the same sector into an index? I'm also trying to build market breath indicators, but it's not clear how I can group stocks that are above 50DMA (for example) into one indicator. Is there a way to code these?

Zorlo -- Having done it myself the hard way -- coding an indicator -- I strongly urge you to get the FIRE addon. Believe it's on sale for Xmas now, too, as well -- around $200.

It will make use of existing groups (in a folder), or you can create a new folder with the symbols you want to make up an index. Same for breadth indicators -- you specify which ones.

After you get things the way you want them, use Windows' Scheduled Tasks to run it automatically after your data downloader is finished. Example: My data takes about 10 min. to download, so I set FIRE to run about 20 min. after the download start time.
