Hi folks, Im new here and have some problems with finding the real prices (not futures etc) of Gold, Coffee, Sugar, Wheat, Oil and such. I was told that these were availabke in the Future data-package. But i'm having a hard time to find them. I actually think the data might not be there in the end. If you can help me any further i would appreciate it much. Grtz Michel

For Reuters Datalink, all the cash commodity symbols are in a supplimental symbol file. you can download that file from this location our our site:
https://www.metastock.com/customer/support/download/Symbols.aspx

For QuoteCenter, you will need to create a custom symbol for the cash contracts. This is done by adding a .1 to the end of the base symbol. For example, gold would be : us@GC.1

QuoteCenter Data costs in a month the same as DataLink for a year For what reason hasn't Equis created these Symbols for QuoteCenter already?

a custom symbol file was created for the Reuters Datalink feed because the cash contracts were specific to the market center the commodity was physically delivered at. The location codes were complex, lengthy and in no way easy for customer to build or supply themselves. The only way a customer could access the data was if we provided the custom symbol file to them.

Quotecenter has a much easier format. Thus far a supplemental symbol file was considered unnecessary. However, I can see your point and will suggest to the Data team that such a file be make for QuoteCenter.

As an alternative, our Futures service has a well-rounded coverage of cash markets and related indexes. See:
