I am now running MSeod 10 on a quad core i7 system.
Interestingly it is not much faster than on my 4 year old Celeron M 1.5Ghz single core.
7 out of 8 cores are doing nothing while one single logical core is running at 100%.
I mainly use the explorer for system testing and it clearly is neither designed for multithreading nor does it use 64 Bit.
I would happlily pay for an upgrade or a plug in/patch that adds 64bits and/or multiple threads support!!
This is the biggest limitation of this otherwise great software - apart from the non customizable system tester and limited formular language of course..
If there is any programmer out there who could switch those explorer dlls into ones that create mulitple threads - please contact me!
Thanks

I agree, if MS could take advantage of multi-treading it would fly!! We can only dream, maybe one day they will listen and upgrade;) just a little hint guys lol

Up !
Software that don't take advantage of new architecture cpu are out!!
In 2011 Intel and AMD make new processor with
AVX that add 256bit for mathematical operation.
Metastock work at the same speed in a P4 or Eight core System.
Many other financial software rewrite their software for multicore support.
I would say to metastock programmer that all single core software in near future are going to die.

I don't think MetaStock has had significant low-level technical improvements since Windows 98 - the look and feel is a dead giveaway, plus all the problems running properly in modern OS's like Win7, where my internal SmartChart windows still resize themselves at random.
