I'm having a problem with the Explorer not giving consistent results. I run a simple Exploration
(c > 30) in the Filter section on a few thousand stocks several times and each time the Explorer
shows a different quantity of stocks in the "Results". Sometimes the results are massively
different. The Data Loading option and Execution Priority don't make any difference. I can run
the "Rejects" back through the Exploration and some stocks will then make it to "Results".
In the past, I ran a different version of Metastock on a completely different computer and also
noticed stocks that were run as part of a group were "Rejected", but passed when I ran them
through the Exploration individually.
I'm currently running MetaStock 11, on Vista with an AMD Dual Core processor, and have Comcast
broadband. Does anybody else have this problem or have any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Are you running the exploration on local data or online data? What other settings are you using?
I only have MS8 and MS9 on this computer and cannot recreate the problems, running exploration on local data.

I'm running Explorations on online data with Reuters Datalink. I've been trying to do an initial filter
screening of 7129 stocks (AMEX, NASDAQ, NYSE) with Weekly periodicity and Specific Date
(previous friday) selected. The results are always different after each run. I finally quit combining all
the stocks into one Exploration run and just run the stocks of each of the three exchanges separately.
The results still aren't consistent, but there is a huge improvement. For example, if I run a simple
Exploration on the AMEX stocks, the first run gives 99 Results. The second run gives 103 Results.
The next couple of runs give 102 Results. When I ran all 7129 stocks, the results might be off by the
hundreds.

I'd be downoading the data and running the exploration locally to see if that makes a difference. It will certainly be faster than running against online data.
