I had been converting ASCII IEOD tick data from my provider sice the past 9 months. However, errors started creeping in after that. My provider says its due to the 65556 data records limit in MS. Is there any workaround for exceeding this limit, provided it does exist? I require at least 9 months data for my TA system to work.

Even if you had the ability to create data files with more than 65536 records (which you cannot) MS would only ever be able to address only 65536 records in a data file. So I guess the answer is, no.

AFAIK the limit in AB is governed by your OS and RAM, so I guess the maximum for a 64-bit OS with the theoretical maximum 1024GB of RAM, that's somewhere in the vicinity of 17million bars of data! Whatever the exact number, it's certainly more than 65536.
