Is there a way to remove the background colour from the Title bar ?
It is currently light blue and does not contrast well with some indicator colours.
Have read the relevant parts of the manual but cannot find any reference.

You can remove the title bar by going into inner window, properties, and uncheck
"show title bar" but that was as far as I could get.

You could change it to silver (Windows XP SP3) via the Appearance Tab of the Windows (OS) properties.
