Hi all, afetr having experienced a sudden shut down of my pc, Metastock 11 eod cannot start anymore "File astsrv.exe missing". I have read all the posts here pertaining the same problem: re-installed Ms, copied missing file from provided link, but the error msg is the same and I still cannot open Metastock. Still the astsrv file (actually without ".exe" extension) I see it is present on SysWOW64 folder. I do not understand and do not know what else to do...

By installing MS the Astsrv file goes on SysWOW64, I have seen on similar answers that this is just as fine (I have Windows 7). What do you mean by. "I would reinstall Metastock being careful if you have anywhere close to 2000 custom indicators." Can you be more clear? I have only about 500 indicators, not 2000...

Problem solved. In case anyone encountered the same problem (astsrv.exe is missing error message) I copied the file from Syswow64 to system32, then right clicked on it and opened as administrator. I am not sure wether just one of the two solved the issued or both together, but MS finally opened and running. Cheers.
