I thought this was going to be a basic question but I see nothing in the User Manual about it.
What I want to do is view the charts of an exploration sequentially by using the right/left arrows at the bottom right of a chart screen.
The Results Report gives me the option to "open chart," and if I highlight all of the hits then I could open up that many windows. However, when I do this, they open with a different template. To view each chart, then, I would have to modify the template. I'd rather open up one window, set the template as desired, and scroll forward/backward with the right/left arrows through my list of Explorer results.
Any help would be appreciated.

After running the exploration, the results are automatically added to a "folder" in "favourites".
Instead of selecting "open chart" from the explorer results, close the explorer results dialogue, return to the main chart window, select file>open>favourites>results of last exploration and then click through the charts in that list.
You can also save the explorer results in another list if you like.

I had been saving in Favorites (not the "results of last exploration" subfolder) but I think the problem was overlap between what I saved there anew and what was already in there. Will I have to clear out the "results of last exploration" folder every time before I save a new set to prevent such overlap?
If so then what's the best way to delete it? I tried going to c:/Program Files/Equis/MetaStock but I see no folder for Favorites--just a file "favorites.dta" that I can't open.

The way I do this is to select the contents of the folder (CTRL+A), right-click and select "remove from favourites". You won't find a Favourites folder on the filesystem, favourites are just a fancy way for Metastock to display selections of data, not real files.
Hope this helps,
T

I'm still confused, Treatey. I'm guessing you mean the "delete" option when I right click after selecting all.
What I'm going to do is save each set of exploration results as its own folder and then open the folder in MS to look through the charts.

Thanks uasish.
I probably just need to get into a routine of doing this every day so it's not such a struggle.
